At Vermont Flannel our flannel is yarn dyed first and then woven to our specifications. Vermont Flannel is a tighter weave than most other flannels. Therefore it does not shrink like regular flannel. It has a shrinkage rate of about 3-5%. That is why Vermont Flannel products look great and offer the same comfortable fit wash after wash.
We brush our Vermont flannel on both sides. Brushing flannel on both sides helps guarantee Vermont Flannel feels ultra soft, on the inside and out. We make this extra effort because your comfort is important to us. We want you to enjoy the softest flannel possible.
Vermont Flannel products are hand-cut and sewn in the U.S.A. We personally oversee the fabrication of each product to guarantee the quality meets our high standards. We sew our products with more stitches per inch and bar tack all products at stress points for added strength. All Vermont Flannel products are safety stitched for extra strength. We're dedicated to comfort and quality, and that's why we remain committed to making our products in the U.S.A.

Marlon is foremost a family man who grew up in Sullana, Peru a small town where recycling and sustainability was, and still is, a way of life. At seven years of age, Marlon and his family moved to Brooklyn, New York. While the children got their education, his parents worked in a family owned business, handcrafting neckties. At thirteen, Marlon began working in the family business. In 1992, the family moved to Miami, Florida to start their second neckwear handcrafting business which in time, Marlon took over and gained seven years of solid experience in manufacturing and marketing handcrafted goods.
In 2001, Marlon earned his Bachelors in Business Administration at The Metropolitan College of New York where in 2003 he also earned his MBA with a concentration in International Business. Since then, Marlon has held positions as General, Operations and Project Manager, Program Director and Account Executive. He has managed professional and trade non-for-profit associations including the Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association, Window Covering Manufacturing Association, Window Covering Safety Council, Comics Manufacturers Association of America and the Certified Ballast Manufacturers. His strategic planning, financial, marketing, staffing, sales expertise and his natural upbringing are exceptional.
Marlon is currently the President and Owner of White Lotus Home, a 32 year old environmentally friendly company that handcrafts natural and organic bedding. He is in charge of all executive decision making. In addition to overseeing staff members and outside accounting, marketing and web design counterparts. Marlon manages the online and brick and mortar stores as well as wholesale accounts. He focuses on increasing efficiencies, revenues and effectiveness, while reducing waste, upcycling and improving product line by considering sustainability in how and where White Lotus Home makes their products.
Marlon has supervised fulfillment centers with respect to sales and distribution of literature, products and safety devices and has been involved in writing standards and other industry literature. He has over 20 years of management and operations experience in manufacturing, retail and the service industries and has practiced financial advising for many years.

35 years ago is when you could say that the Zip-n-go Blanket? concept of our Outdoor Blanket, Stadium Blanket, or Waterproof Picnic Blanket started, if you ask my mom.... Ever since I was young I have always loved the outdoors, sunshine, nature, and mountains, but never loved the grass, dirt, wet ground, and bugs that came along with it. My mom would sit me on a blanket in the grass and she said I wouldn't ever go off the blanket. I didn't like the feel of grass and I still don't till this day!
Fast forward 27 years later I found myself with my son throwing a fit at the beach because he hated the feel of wet sand. My small beach towel wasn't doing the trick of keeping him or me off the wet sand and hence the Zip-n-go Blanket? came forth. I searched for the perfect Waterproof Outdoor Blanket, but the ones I found on the internet or at the stores were either too hard to fold, too small, had separate carrying cases or straps that I knew I would lose, never seemed to fit back in the original bag, or were cheaply made. I was looking for a high quality Waterproof Outdoor Blanket that could keep my son and I dry and clean, something I could zip up, carry on my shoulder as a tote bag, had no separate carrying case, and had some storage space to place snacks, water bottles, and keys, but couldn't find it.
I was on a mission and decided to see if my mom, who is an excellent seamstress, could make what I was looking for. After spending a year finding the best materials and designing prototypes my mother and I came up with the Zip-n-go Blanket?. It was important for us to keep production in America and that is why our blankets are made are now made in the heart of Indiana. We hope that customers will find this important too!
My husband and I have three handsome boys, Michael (8), Samuel (6), and Tucker (4) and a baby daugther name Isabella (born in 2013). We moved to Northern Idaho (Hayden, ID) in 2010 from Virginia Beach, VA . We are truly loving living in North Idaho with all its beauty it has to offer. As our business grows our primary goal will always remain the same, to provide a high quality product that makes life fun and a little easier, while making sure our customers are completely satisfied with our outdoor blankets and service! We look forward to offering additional blankets and products in the future. We also do Custom Large Orders for Corporations/Schools/Promotions with customized embroidery with your choice of fleece colors/styles.
