ModCraft was started by Industrial Designer David Clark in his Williamsburg, Brooklyn apartment. As interest in his stoneware tile and lighting business grew, he relocated the handmade tile operation to a barn studio he built in Hudson Valley's Beacon, New York. There he and his wife Mary St. John are able to design and hand make their products in a larger volume.
ModCraft produces sophisticated handmade modern wall tile using high-fire stoneware clay. Light plays across the tile's glazes and modular surface patterns to create a dynamic visual effect. The result is elegant stoneware tile with a contemporary and modern feel.
As interest in our tile has continued to grow, we are now available in showrooms nationwide.

ModCraft strives to operate as environmentally friendly as possible. We recycle all our packing materials and only pack our tile in recycled corrugated cardboard or cornstarch peanut material. We reuse clay and glaze to reduce waste and we sell or donate leftover material to local mosaic artists and children's projects. Likewise, our operation is within the 500 mile LEED radius of many East Coast construction projects.
Ceramic tile is a low impact product due to its inert state once fired. All our materials are made of non-toxic components and are lead free.

Shipping Information:
National Tank Outlet offers several different options for shipping our plastic tanks. National Tank Outlet will always contact our customers with shipping charges before proceeding with an order.
National Tank Outlet Order Cancellation Policy:
NTO customers can cancel an order at anytime. If the customer cancels the order within 24 hours, there will be no charges and money will be refunded. If a customer cancels an order after 24 hours, they will be charged with a $50 order processing fee. If a customer cancels an order after the tank has shipped, they will be charged our standard 25% restocking fee and any freight charges from time of shipment. Depending on the product the restocking fee could be up to 50% or not returnable.
Shipping Policy
It is the customer's responsibility to inspect all shipments before accepting and signing clear on Bill of Lading/Delivery Receipt. Customer's are also responsible for unloading any shipment. Damages/Claims It is extremely important for the receiver of a shipment to inspect and note any damages of a delivery. All orders are inspected at the point of origin to make sure there is no damage when shipped. Once our tanks are turned over to the carriers, damage can occur. Once the receiver inspects the product and signs the Proof of Delivery/Bill of Lading that the tank or product is clear of damage, National Tank Outlet will not be responsible for damage done to the tank. At this point the customer/receiver will accept all responsibility for the tank/product and will be responsible for filing a claim directly with the carrier for the damage. If receiver does note damage of a shipment on the Bill of Lading, National Tank Outlet will gladly assist our customers.
Transit Times
National Tank Outlet works with our vendors to provide the best possible lead times for our customers. There are some situations that National Tank Outlet cannot control, such as: fire, flood, strike, or other labor difficulty, acts of God, act of any governmental authority or of the purchaser, wrecks or delay in transportation, inability to obtain necessary labor, materials or manufacturing facilities from usual sources or due to any other cause beyond reasonable control. In the event of delay in performance due to any such cause, the date of delivery will be postponed by such length of time as may be reasonably necessary to compensate for the delay. National Tank Outlet cannot guarantee or ensure that any shipment can be made by any specific time or date. In any event, the company will not be liable for costs, including but not limited to any special, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profits or income.
