Kuma Stoves Has been manufacturing quality Wood Stoves since 1981 and Oil stoves since 1999. Our company supplies products to distributors and dealers across the U.S. Kuma Stoves is proud to say that every product we manufacture is made in the USA, with our Oil stoves being one of very few if not the only natural draft Oil Stoves made in the USA.

Kuma Stoves was founded in 1981 when Mark Freeman, now president of the company, built the first Kuma Stove on the tailgate of his chevrolet pick up truck. To this day, Kuma Stoves continues to be primarily a family operation. The first several Kuma Stoves were custom built for family members, but the demand soon grew into a full time job. The Sequoia model with the exception of a few changes and EPA certification is the original Kuma Stove. Back then, everything was hand made including the door. Not much has changed in the way that Kuma Stoves manufactures it's products and although Kuma Stoves is a relatively small company, we continue to be on the cutting edge of technology and design. Kuma stoves led the way with outside air capable and manufactured home approved oil stoves. Our wood stoves continue to be some of the cleanest burning in the industry, passing both EPA and more strict Washington State standards. All of our products are laser-cut and handcrafted by each fabricator start to finish - no assembly lines here.

Our motto: Quality and performance welded together.

Thank you for visiting our site and taking the time to get to know us. We would love to build a stove for you.

Compare our stoves, boilers and hot air furnaces to others. Leisure Line stokers are all automatic, pour coal into the large hopper and let the thermostat operate the stove. With our stove there are no moveable grates to worry about. Never shake another grate, or dump another fire. Our unique burner is simple and robust. Our design which shovels the coal onto the burn grate, rather than pushing the coal, creates more air pockets to make for a cleaner burning stove. When you shop for a coal stoker ask to see how the burner works, this is the heart of any stoker stove. We are proud of our design and think it is the best out there for simplicity, efficiency and reliability. Our feeder utilizes a bearing arm to move the feeder shovel. This design eliminates extra moving parts and provides maximum reliability. Our high quality American made gear motors and bulletproof design makes our coal feeder number one.
Another winning feature of Leisure Line is the way our thermostat controls our convection fans on our stoves and furnaces. We don't rely on a fan limit switch, where the convection fan runs wide open or not at all. We ramp our fan up and down. So, when the thermostat is controlling the heat output, it is also controlling the fan output. No more running back and forth to the stove to turn the dials, adjust feed ratio or play with the rheostat settings. With our built for Leisure Line digital programmable Coal-trol thermostat all you need to do is set it and forget it. Don D. of Syracuse, NY stated, ...by having the Coal-trol thermostat on my Leisure Line stove, I saved somewhere between 11-15% of coal throughout the entire heating season. The Coal-trol really is the next best thing in stoker stoves. Our endeavor to produce Boilers and Furnaces has been underway for over two and a half years now and we are happy to say that the units are performing above expectations. We have a 110K Coal/165K Oil Boiler as well as a 220K Coal Boiler. Both units feature pressure vessels manufactured by Axeman-Anderson Company, a well known and excellent manufacturer of boilers. Additionally we have developed 110K and 220K coal furnaces with 1800 cfm fans and control via our tried and true Coal-Trol Thermostat that features variable speed fan control. All the units were succesfully tested per UL and CAN requirements last fall and are ready to keep your home toasty warm at minimum cost. The new AF type Power Vent units feature a centrifugal fan that does not clog with coal fly ash thus reducing maintenance. The AF series units have been certified for use on all Leisure Line products. We are currently working on a new design direct vent unit for use with the new 220K btu outdoor boiler. Stay tuned for pictures and test results.

Thanks for visiting our online store.

We are the only blacksmith in the United States specializing in hand forged garden tools for home gardeners, nurserymen, landscapers, and farmers.

We've been producing hand-forged implements for over 15 years. Bob is a tool designer, inventor, and frequent writer on various gardening topics and Rita is your contact in the store and online. We are new to the internet, but have years of experience operating the retail store. We started off in California in the late 1980's, and relocated to Oregon in 2004.

We operate out of a two story barn that Bob built out of the lumber from two 100-year old Oregon barns. The store is fantastic — in the summer it's cool and bright, and in the winter you can warm your feet at the pot belly stove.

We offer more than 1000 items at the store, and have at least 20 different patterns of hoes; steel rakes ranging from 6 tines to 24 tines; one to five-tine cultivators; ball weeders; hand plows; rock picking forks, root hooks; cradle forks for overhead pitching; mangel cutters; weed spuds; wood tine rakes; hot bed weeders and hundreds of other unique or rare implements.

We also offer sharpening of non-power pruning and other edged tools, re-handling, restoration, repair and custom tool making.

Bob is a frequent speaker at garden club events and conventions on various gardening topics. If you're interested in having Bob talk at one of your club meetings, or if you want to attend a class at our store, just give us a call.

Bob has been a contributor to Fine Gardening and Horticulture magazines. His articles have also appeared in Small Farm Today and New Pioneer Magazine.

Bob is also an inventor and has invented several items, including: garden pants with built-in knee pads; forged, solid socket trench clean out shovels with flat bottoms and turned-up sides; a combination diamond file, screw driver and multi-wrench for tool maintenance; pruning tool maintenance oil; an improved ball weeder; a heavy duty watering wand, a line of hand tools with screw-on handles, a root saw, a potting trowel and a blackberry hoe.

Formerly, Bob was a product development consultant to Corona Clipper Company, America’s leading manufacturer of professional pruning tools. He provided specifications, conceptual designs, field-testing and evaluation for Corona’s new generation of hand shears, loppers and hedge shears. He played a critical role in developing Corona’s complete range of garden, landscape, agricultural and construction hand tools when the company expanded its offerings in the early 2000’s.

Bob and Rita have been the subject of many magazines such as Horticulture, Sunset, Garden Design, and the Los Angeles Times Magazine. In 2005 they were the subjects of a segment on PAX television’s People Places and Plants program. He also appears regularly on Saturday morning's Garden Time TV.

He is a frequent and popular lecturer at botanical gardens, arboreta, garden clubs, plant societies and garden shows.

Prior to founding Red Pig Tools (formerly Denman and Company) in 1989, Bob and Rita operated an advertising and graphic design studio. A former journalist, college football linebacker and motocross rider, Bob now confines his physical activities to the smithy and the garden, feeling that there is danger and excitement enough at home.

About Stoll Fireplace
Stoll Fireplace Inc. was established over 40 years ago when Mr. William Stoll designed and hand-crafted an oversized screen for his South Carolina home. Since then, Stoll Fireplace has become the industry leader for innovative and economical ways to decorate your fireplace by manufacturing a complete line of fireplace products that are found in the finest fireplace specialty stores across America. Above all, Mr. Stoll’s Christian values continue to be the guiding principles of the company’s ethical standards & customer satisfaction.

Our Story
Mr. Stoll
Mr. Stoll
1969 - 2012

You may have heard that necessity is the mother of invention. In the case of Stoll Fireplace Equipment, it started a business. That business today employs many people, and from its Abbeville County base has a marketing area that encompasses the United States and Canada. But it all began 40 years ago when Mr. Bill Stoll moved to Abbeville County from Virginia. He soon found that the fireplace in his new home was too large for any of the standard-sized fireplace screens that were typically available. So Bill made a screen to fit—he estimates that the screen was 48 by 30 inches. Bill recalled that the response to his screen was entirely unexpected.“I didn’t have any idea I’d be making fireplace screens for a living,” he said. But when his neighbors began asking him to make fireplace equipment for them, he did, and soon a business was born. Today, two of Mr. Stoll's sons—Dennis and Robert—own the business which has grown steadily over the years. Stoll Fireplace Inc. makes a wide range of hearth products and fireplace accessories. Many of the products are still custom made by skilled craftsmen for our customer's individual fireplaces.

Mr. William F. Stoll, Sr., founder of Stoll Fireplace, Inc. passed on to his eternal reward on November 2, 2008. Mr. Stoll was 94 years old, and is survived by Katie, his wife of 67 years.

Mr. Stoll lived a full life, centered around serving others. He remained active throughout his life, and could be seen here at the plant or on errands for Stoll Fireplace up until the last couple months. His smiling face and genuine care for people will be greatly missed. We are all very sad to see him go, but we know he was ready to leave this earth. He lived a long, good, life here, and was looking forward to the time he could trade his earthly body for a heavenly one.

Welcome! Thanks for checking out my site. My name is Curt DeRoo and I have been a resident of West Michigan all of my life. I have also experienced the ups and downs of the Michigan economy. In order to plan a secure future for my family I am embarking on a new chapter in my life that includes my love for woodworking and extra income for my family.
When I was trying to figure out a name for my company I thought of what working with wood means to me. Woodwork means craftsmanship, quality, customization, and timeless construction. I believe in making a quality product that will last and that meets your needs. My father is a craftsman and my fondest memories are of working with him in his shop learning his trade. My goal is to follow in his footsteps and make him proud.
I am an engineer by trade which helps me visualize my customer's needs. My wife is a teacher and she is always asking me to make pieces that help her organize her classroom. She is always impressed when I can make a beautiful piece of furniture from a simple sketch and some measurements. Being an engineer for the past 20 years has helped me develop an eye for details. My wife often tells me I'm a perfectionist and I always exceed her expectations. I hope to bring that same ethic and attention to detail to the pieces I build for you. I am also used to meeting deadlines so rest assured your order will be a priority. Punctuality is very important to me.
I hope you give me a chance to show off my workmanship and quality to build you a piece of timeless woodwork that you will enjoy for years to come. You can choose a piece that you see on my website or feel free to contact me with a unique idea and we'll see what we can figure out together.
Thank you for considering Timeless Wood Creations and helping support a company with all Made in the U.S.A. products.
Sincerely,
Curt DeRoo
