The Apex of Washington Wine
Apex joined Yakima Valley's pioneering winemakers in 1988, with its original production facility in Sunnyside, Washington under the ownership of the Alhadeff family and famed winemaker, Brian Carter. Known as a super-premium label, its strengths garnered repeat acclaim in Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay. Apex joined the Precept Wine family in 2008, and we build upon that legacy today.

Our winemaking team believes Apex has the best of both worlds: New World Washington State fruit and his commitment to Old World-style winemaking. The use of French oak for a buttery Chardonnay and bold, round reds for which Apex is beloved results in cellar-worthy wines each year.

Production happens in two places: on-site at our Alder Ridge Winery next to our estate vineyard, where meticulous hand-sorting and processes such as open fermentation optimize these small-lot gems, and a dedicated aromatics winery in Prosser, Washington, where Apex's Sauvignon Blanc comes to life each year. With a relentless pursuit of perfection, we're certain you'll enjoy the Apex of Washington Wine!

Meet the Winemaker: Ron Bunnell
Ron Bunnell is best known as founding winemaker of The Bunnell Family Cellar in the Yakima Valley. His accomplishments include a successful career at prestigious wineries such as Chateau Ste. Michelle, Beringer Vineyards and Kendall-Jackson. Ron is also co-proprietor of wine bistro Wine O'Clock in his resident Prosser. Ron's passion for aromatic wines, attention to oak aging, knowledge of vineyard management, and award-winning palate uphold the quality for which Apex Cellars' wines are renowned.

As a caterer, Eleanor Harren was constantly receiving requests for her creamy pralines for everything from barbeques to weddings. She knew her Aunt Aggie De's praline recipe was a winner. In 1987, at age 55, Eleanor began Aunt Aggie De's Pralines, with small batches being made by Eleanor herself in her kitchen. Word quickly got out about the delectable pecan candy and she now occupies two buildings in Sinton, Texas. In one, pralines and other pecan candies are still being made in batches and with the same care and quality of ingredients she used when she started the company.

The main storefront at 311 W. Sinton boasts a giant squirrel named Agnes and houses the primary retail store. Aunt Aggie De's has remained committed to USA grown and processed ingredients, with the only exception being the Madagascar vanilla beans (which are processed in the USA) and the Belgian chocolate used in chocolate confections. Aunt Aggie De's sells over 2 million pralines each year and guarantees them to be 100% delicious.

Eleanor in the KitchenWe at Aunt Aggie De's Pralines invite you, your family and friends to share in our Texas tradition of fine candy. Our delicious creamy pralines boast an old-fashioned commitment to homemade taste!

As a child, my favorite treats were my Aunt Aggie De's pralines. We still use her original praline recipe and delight in offering our Original Creamy Pralines, along with other wonderful pecan candy, prepared with the same care and quality ingredients.

Every season brings change, but one thing never changes ? our pralines are guaranteed 100% delicious!

If you're ever in the neighborhood, be sure to drop by our retail store located at 311 W. Sinton in Sinton, Texas, for a cup of coffee and a sampling of our fine candies.

She prepared some of her restaurant entrees as frozen take-home packages for her customers to enjoy later and relive the flavor.
