At Vermont Flannel our flannel is yarn dyed first and then woven to our specifications. Vermont Flannel is a tighter weave than most other flannels. Therefore it does not shrink like regular flannel. It has a shrinkage rate of about 3-5%. That is why Vermont Flannel products look great and offer the same comfortable fit wash after wash.
We brush our Vermont flannel on both sides. Brushing flannel on both sides helps guarantee Vermont Flannel feels ultra soft, on the inside and out. We make this extra effort because your comfort is important to us. We want you to enjoy the softest flannel possible.
Vermont Flannel products are hand-cut and sewn in the U.S.A. We personally oversee the fabrication of each product to guarantee the quality meets our high standards. We sew our products with more stitches per inch and bar tack all products at stress points for added strength. All Vermont Flannel products are safety stitched for extra strength. Jenny Wren has spent the last two decades working as a professional visual artist and illustrator. Her love of the outdoors and all of its creatures is celebrated in her unique interpretation of the classic storybook style.
Seeing a need for responsibly produced, American-made art and jewelry, Jenny, together with her husband Christopher established Wrenhouse in 2003, which produces her distinctive nature-inspired jewelry and illustrated note cards and prints at affordable prices. Her desire to make accessible art that people can delight in has fueled her passion for creativity. Wrenhouse jewelry and illustrated note cards are now available in over 100 shops across the United States. Each piece of Wrenhouse jewelry is lovingly sculpted and painted by hand here in her Bennington studio, mounted on quality USA-made findings, and presented on one of Jenny's colorfully illustrated cards. Reflecting the Wren's personal commitment to protecting the environment that we all share and love, Wrenhouse uses 100% post-consumer recycled paper, as well as lead-free and cadmium-free jewelry findings produced here in the USA.
