The making of a farm toy manufacturer began in 1957 when I was born to a farm equipment dealer. Who sold Allis-Chalmers, Massy Ferguson, Deutz, and then Kubota. In 1974 when my first child was born, I started collecting farm toys, not knowing where it would lead to in the future.
I attended my first toy show in 1981 at Lafayette, Indiana. It was at this time I knew I was hooked on toys. I started by customizing tractors and combines to make them more realistic. It was at this time I started to sell them at local toy shows. I knew then there was no turning back. The bug had bitten!
My first customizing was a Massy Ferguson 760 combine which was followed by many more. I soon learned the demand was much greater than I had ever anticipated. I also learned Scratch building was a lot of work and very time consuming. It was at this time I decided the pieces could be made in larger volume if I had a spin casting machine, so in 1994 with a spin casting machine in hand I set up shop in Dad's barn. I started making patterns and molds to cast a header wagon followed by the tandem rake hitch. By 1995 the demand was so great that I needed to hire my first full time employee. Six months later I hired the second fulltime and two part time employees. Things were going very well.
On March 4th 1998 a fire totally destroyed the barn we were in. The next day we started getting things back together and moved into the building where we are today. Four months later we cast our first items in the new location and were up and running again! In 1999 we purchased our own plastic injection molding equipment from Hurley Barn Yard Toys of Wynette, Illinois. That gave us a line of plastic toys and accessories.
We have moved into the 21st Century with the addition of our own Web Site. This features over one thousand model implements, and a full line of parts to customize your own toys. Moore's Farm Toys models, kits, and parts are sold in our retail store in Dresden Ohio, as well as over the web site and at many National Toy Shows. We also sell Wholesale to other Toy Dealers in the USA, Canada, and also overseas.

It all started back in 1979, Murray had a retired gentleman who lived next door that liked to play horseshoes. Murray tried for two years but couldn't win a game against this gentleman, so he decided to make his own game. A game that any0ne could play and anyone could WIN!!! A game that did not require any setup or a dedicated playing area. His game was loosely based on the ancient European game called Bocce. His game was to be played with oversized marbles he called Murbles. (Murray's big marbles, Murbles)
When playing Murbles, things like size, speed, agility and even skill are not required assets. The players determin the distance and pace of the game. Murbles come in a convenient canvas carrying bag and are made to be toteable, (about 5 pounds) so take them tailgating, or to the beach, (they're bouyant) to the park or just out in the backyard.

In the late 1980's Paris Manufacturing, a well known century old manufacturer of wood sleds and toboggans, decided they needed a line of products to sell in their off season. Croquet seemed like the perfect item and the Cumberland Croquet Set was born! True to their reputation for quality and craftsmanship the Paris Mfg. company had much success with this croquet set and it didn't take long for that set to evolve into several different models. All of these models have the same inherent quality that Paris Mfg. was known for.
For several years the Paris Co. continued to produce these high quality croquet sets for many of the major retailers including Land's End, Lee Valley, L.L. Bean, Orvis, Plow & Hearth and Pottery Barn. While receiving favorable reviews from the Wall Street Journal on more than one occasion, the pressure from offshore manufacturing began to erode away at the Paris market share. The imported sets were less expensive, less durable and generally inferior in quality when compared to these domestically manufactured croquet sets. Some of the major retailers opted for the imported sets and the Paris Co. began to falter.
Fast forward a few more years and due to the offshore pressure, the manufacturing of the wood sleds and toboggans along with the Paris name was sold to a Canadian company. However, the croquet line was retained by the parent corporation and marketed under the name of Forest Industries, Inc., a Maine manufacturing company that had been furnishing the wood turnings for these croquet sets. It was about this time that Pierce Point Laser entered the picture when they created the personalized croquet set market.
It wasn't long before Pierce Point was purchasing about one in four of the sets they were producing. It was a natural progression that with their capability to personalize and engrave corporate logos on these sets that Pierce Point Laser acquire this line of croquet sets. In March of 2008 this happened and The North Meadow Croquet Co. was formed. With Pierce Point Laser's guiding principles of quality, craftsmanship and customer service the future bodes well for North Meadow Croquet.
